“ My partner and my self recently came for a meal for his birthday. The food was absolutely amazing, service was great and fast considering it was busy and there was one waitress. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you Gemma and Thomas. I’m not one to normally leave a review but I feel I had to for how lovely this food and service was. ”

“ I had a delicious lunch here. I sat at the window bar and watched the Christmas shoppers rushing by while I was cosy and being well fed. The celeriac remoulade had a good dollop of mustard and made a perfect appetizer before the beef bourguignon. That beef was so tender, the carrots soft, an unctuous and lipsmacking dish. The frites I ordered were crisp and salty, perfect for dipping into that gravy. Although I was full, I couldn’t resist their crème brûlée for desert which had that crack on top, hiding a sweet mellow creaminess underneath. The Pinot noir I chose to accompany the meal seemed perfect. Astonishingly good food! I was kindly welcomed in when I arrived and the service was timely and friendly. Wish I was able to visit more often. ”

“ An absolute delight! We had a lovely lunch in this tiny relaxed restaurant right in the middle of Norwich. Simple unfussy flavours with top class ingredients, the walnuts and oil on my tartine were really good and the chocolate mousse outstanding. My partner’s steak and crème brûlée were equally well received! ”

“ Dined here after the restaurant kindly advised of a cancellation. The communication from start to finish was superb and attentive. Between us we had 2 starters 2 mains, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine. All courses were fresh, tasty and well presented with a simple menu explained by the host. Gemma and Thomas the owners create a lovely atmosphere to enjoy great food and we would definitely visit again. ”

“ We loved our amazing lunch today I had booked a table. Cool seating area upstairs. Got busy later on with walk ins. Lunch menu is extensive and plenty to choose from. Gemma was very helpful with our wine choice, and outstanding service throughout Oh the food!! Both our starters were top notch. I loved the put lentil salad with Roquefort, bacon and more. The beetroot and goats cheese dish was just as tasty Mains and the star was the beef Bourguignon, rich and the perfect autumn / winter warmer. My Bavette steak was perfectly cooked, and the frites were crispy and spot on Spoiled for choice with the dessert menu. Chocolate mousse sounded amazing, but the Creme Brulee was out of this world. I thanked chef Thomas as we paid and left as it was the best I've had (and that says a lot!). Seriously considering a "Richard E Grant" licking of the dish We loved L'Hexagone and it has taken too long for our first visit. We will be back and soon! Highly recommended ”
